This course is designed for individuals that carry a concealed
weapon in the course of their employment or for self-defense. During
this course students will learn shooting techniques and survival
tactics that will greatly enhance their ability to survive a deadly
force encounter.
Instructors will
extensively cover handgun marksmanship and proper weapon handling
skills. Students will learn how to move, draw and present their
firearm when encountering a deadly force encounter. Students will
also learn conflict avoidance techniques, post-shooting issues and
the legal consequences of deploying their firearm in self-defense.
Both tactical and legal obligation will be stressed as students
participate in numerous "reality based" practical “Force on Force
scenarios.
To participate in this
course students must have a basic knowledge of their weapon and safe
weapon handling skills.

Upon successful completion of this course students will receive a
course diploma.
Required Gear:
600 rounds of ammunition, defensive style pistol or revolver with a
minimum of 3 magazines or 3 speed loaders, pouch to hold 2 spare
magazines or speed loaders, Belt, Concealable forward drawing hip
style holster, Jacket/shirt that will conceal their weapon, Baseball
style cap, Eye protection, Ear protection.
*Minimum caliber is 9mm/38 or ballistic equivalent.
Optional Low Light/No Light Training
Course
There is an additional course fee of $45.00 for this training block.
This training block is optional and not required to graduate from
the 2-Day Advanced Concealed Carry Course. Students will get several
hours for a break between the days training and low light training
so students can eat and relax and prepare their equipment.
This training block will consist of the following:

Effects of vision in
low/no light environments.
-
Use of light and no
light tactics during a self defense encounter.
-
Defensive use of
flashlights.
-
Tactical shooting
techniques while deploying your flashlight.
**NEW
for 2005** Because we know a majority of deadly force
encounters happen at night we have added low light/ no light
practical “Force on Force” scenarios to this training block.
Required Gear:
Defensive style flashlight,100 rounds of ammunition, defensive style
pistol or revolver with a minimum of 3 magazines or 3 speed loaders,
pouch to hold 2 spare magazines or speed loaders, Belt, Concealable
forward drawing hip style holster, Jacket/shirt that will conceal
their weapon, Baseball style cap, Eye protection, Ear protection.

** All Gear needed,
including training weapons and FX ammunition and holsters will be
supplied for the student as part of the course fee.
If you currently don’t
have a flashlight and don’t know what one is the best for you to
buy, we will have several different types of flashlights for you to
test and try out during the training block.
