Ammunition: For safety and reliability reasons students should use newly manufactured factory ammunition.  Armor piercing, penetrater rounds, tracers and magnum rounds will not be allowed due to the damaging of target systems.

Handguns:  Any auto such as a factory style 1911, H&K, Glock, Sig, Beretta etc. will work well along with a safe, belt secured, forward drawing holster or duty rig.  Derringers and single action revolvers are not allowed.  Over sized magnum handguns such as the 50. Cal desert eagle etc. are also unacceptable. Revolvers are  allowed but keep in mind courses are designed for auto style handguns.

Rifles: Semi-auto carbines chambered in 5.56/.223 are recommended. SMG/Mp-5’s style weapons are excellent also. Rifles must have a support sling.  Optics are your choice. We strongly encourage that rifles with optical systems have a back up/secondary sighting system. Our courses, unless specifically mentioned, are not designed for bolt action rifles.

Shotguns: Pump or semi autos are acceptable.  Barrel length should not exceed 20 inches.  Shotguns should have a standard rear stock.  Ghost rings or rifle sights are highly recommended. Single shots, over-unders and streetsweeper style weapons are not allowed. Shotguns should have a support sling.
